Welch’s gets bubbly for brunch with nonalcoholic mimosa

For those who still want to get bubbly at brunch sans alcohol, they now can do so with the latest launch from Welch’s.

The Concord, Mass.-based company, best known for its grape products, is bringing its new Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Mimosa to shelves.

Offering consumers a burst of citrus with a light and crisp taste, the brand's new beverage contains everything that's become popular about a mimosa minus the after effects of champagne, the company said.

"Welch's sparkling juices are a staple at celebrations and gatherings across the country," John Walston, Welch's senior brand manager, said. "Last year, we saw great success launching Welch's Non-Alcoholic Rosé, and we wanted to offer consumers a new occasion to enjoy our trendy bubbly refreshments. Mimosa opens the breakfast occasion for us as the perfect addition to any brunch spread."

Made with U.S.-grown grapes and sweetened with only fruit juice, the beverage only has 80 calories per serving and does not contain any added sugar, the company said.

Available exclusively at Target stores and online starting April 7, Welch’s Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Mimosa will be a permanent addition to the brand’s sparkling juice line. The beverage comes in a 24.5 fl-oz. bottle that retails for $3.19.
