Wet Ones seeks to keep families healthy during flu season

11/20/2009

SHELTON, Conn. To encourage clean hands during flu season, the Wet Ones brand is asking moms nationwide to visit www.WetOnes.com to take a pledge to help stop the spread of germs for their families and for their community.

Starting Friday, the first 100,000 pledges at www.WetOnes.com will generate a donation of one Wet Ones antibacterial wipes travel pack to the Kids In Need Foundation, a national organization dedicated to providing school supplies to children in most need. Consumers who take the pledge will also receive a downloadable coupon redeemable for $1.50 off a Wet Ones product purchase and access to valuable information about how to help keep families healthy, including a downloadable flu prevention plan developed by pediatrician and child care author William Sears, M.D.

“It’s no secret that this flu season is especially severe, for everyone ranging from young children to prenatal mothers to others,” said Sears. “The good news is that families can do things as simple as keeping their hands clean to protect themselves against getting sick, and to help them, I’ve created a Flu Prevention Plan with easy-to-follow tips to help protect against illness.”
