Zatarain's expands portfolio to include Meals for Two

NEW ORLEANS — Zatarain's is looking to jazz up the frozen food category with the launch of a new line.

The brand has launched Meals for Two frozen entrées, which can be prepared in a skillet or microwave. Each entrée contains 24-oz. of premium meats, rice or pasta, fresh vegetables and seasonings.

Meals for Two includes such varieties as blackened chicken alfredo, chicken and sausage jambalaya, smothered chicken and rice, and beef and mushroom pasta. In addition to the Meals for Two line, the brand also has launched two new single-serve frozen entrées: chicken and mushroom risotto and big cheesy pasta.

"We are excited to add Zatarain's Meals for Two to our already robust line of flavorful frozen entrées," Zatarain's marketing manager Jennifer Young said. "Even with today's hectic schedules, new Meals for Two make it easy for family and friends to spend less time cooking and more time connecting over a delicious meal."

Zatarain's Meals For Two carries a suggested retail price range of $6.99 to $7.49, while the new single-serve varieties carry a suggested retail price of $3.49.
