Zevia enters new category

3/3/2015

LOS ANGELES —  Beverage brand Zevia on Tuesday announced the introduction of Zevia Tonic Water. The new beverage will be sweetened with stevia and monk fruit, according to the brand. It will be included in soda and mixer sets nationally and will make its official debut at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif. this week.

"Our mission is to bring great-tasting zero calorie, naturally sweetened beverages to consumers across America, and the introduction of Zevia Tonic Water is a huge step forward for the mixer category," said Zevia CEO Paddy Spence. "Historically, tonic water has been full of either empty calories or artificial sweeteners, and now we are offering tonic water drinkers an easy substitute that they can feel good about."

Zevia Tonic Water’s formula is vegan, kosher and gluten-free, the company said. Consumers can find it throughout the United States at Whole Foods Market, as well as through Amazon.com, for a retail price of $5.99 per six pack.
