Chobani is taking the sugar out of milk with its latest launch.
New from the brand is its Zero Sugar line, which contains milk that's been filtered to reduce the naturally occurring sugar. It's also naturally fermented to allow the yogurt cultures to consume the remaining sugar, the company said.
Made with natural and non-GMO sweeteners, Chobani Zero Sugar contains 60 calories per serving and is sweetened with milk fruit and allulose.
“Chobani Zero Sugar is a revolutionary innovation,” said Peter McGuinness, president and COO of Chobani. “Our team developed a brand new product that is as delicious as it is healthy. You won’t find another product on shelves nationwide in the U.S. dairy aisle with 11 g of protein and only natural ingredients, but no sugar or artificial sweeteners.”
Featuring six live and active cultures, including probiotics, the line is available in 5.3-oz. single-serve cups of vanilla, mixed berry, strawberry and blueberry flavors that retail for $1.49 each.
Chobani Zero Sugar is also available in four-packs of vanilla and mixed berry that retail for $4.49 and a 32-oz. multi-serve size of vanilla that retails for $5.49.
