These individuals have applied their expertise in many ways; for example, to enable new products and technologies, to help shape a constructive regulatory environment or to develop new research techniques. They are recognized across the industry as leaders who have devoted time to recruiting, training and mentoring future experts. This year’s award was presented to Kochanowski by CHPA president and CEO Scott Melville, Haleon’s vice president of U.S. regulatory affairs, and Lauren Quinn, chair of CHPA’s Regulatory & Scientific Affairs committee.

“I want to express my sincere congratulations and gratitude to Barb, the leader of our Regulatory & Scientific Affairs department for the last 14 years,” said Melville. “As someone who has the pleasure of working with Barb on a daily basis, I am in constant awe of her intelligence, her organization, her calmness, her humanity, and her commitment to this industry.
