Chum Fruit Bites make U.S. debut

10/31/2019

Chum Fruit Bites, a company based in Limerick, Ireland, announced that its products will be expanding into the United States.

Founded in 2017 with a commitment to making healthy snacks available worldwide, the company also supports WildAid’s mission of saving endangered species.

"At Chum, we are 100% wild and 100% natural. We don't use fake stuff. If it's good for wild animals, it's good for us," Benjamin Bartley, the company’s founder said. "We wanted to come up with a healthy snack that contained the goodness of real fruit, was naturally sweet, and easy to chew. Kids (and adults!) love the fruity flavors, and parents have peace of mind knowing the snacks have clean and wholesome ingredients. In fact, every pack of Chum Fruit Bites equals one cup of fruit."

The brand’s fruit bites do not contain artificial ingredients, added sugars or colors. They contain fresh-picked fruits that are in season and used in their rawest form and baked slowly at a low temperature, the company said.

In addition to wanting to create healthier snacking options, Bartley wanted to incorporate his passion for protecting animals with the company. His love for sharks inspired the brand’s name — Chum.

"At Chum Fruit Bites, we are devoted to helping our 'CHUMs,' which is why we feature an endangered animal on each of our flavor packs and donate 15% of our profits to WildAid," stated Bartley. "We offer a snack alternative that is both better for you and the planet."

Chum Fruit Bites are vegan, gluten-free, kosher and available in such flavors as strawberry, peach, apple, berry and mango on the company’s website and Amazon.
