Sour Patch Kids-flavored cereal hits shelves

A new cereal collaboration is bringing a sour twist to breakfast.

Post Consumer Brands and Mondelēz International have partnered to release Post Sour Patch Kids-flavored cereal. It features kid-shaped pieces with a sour coating and sweet finish.

"Following the launch of Post Oreo O's cereal, Nutter Butter-flavored cereal and Chips Ahoy!-flavored cereal last year, we are excited to introduce fans to a new first-of-its-kind cereal, one that they never dreamed was possible," said Roxanne Bernstein, chief marketing officer at Post Consumer Brands. "Post Sour Patch Kids-flavored cereal brings the ‘sour then sweet’ taste of the beloved candy brand right to the cereal bowl. Fans have been curious about this new ‘sour then sweet’ cereal, and we can't wait for them to learn how delicious the cereal is both straight out of the box and with milk."

The Sour Patch Kids-flavored cereal currently is available in Walmart stores, and Post said it would be expanding to major retailers nationwide starting in June.
