All 152 Giant Food in-store pharmacies across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals.

The Biden administration is more than doubling the number of pharmacies in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program from 17,000 to nearly 40,000.

Publix opened registration for the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals at 23 of its pharmacies in Tennessee.

Meijer will be offering COVID-19 vaccines in Wisconsin, Illinois and Kentucky, on top of its existing efforts via the program in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. 

The Excelsior Pass — which helps confirm a person's proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results — is expected to be accepted at dozens of events, arts and entertainment venues in New York.

The company will be offering vaccines at certain CVS Pharmacy stores in Delaware, New Mexico and West Virginia beginning March 31. 

Earlier this month, GSK and Vir found that their experimental COVID treatment, VIR-7831, reduced the risk of hospitalization and deaths among patients by 85%, based on interim data from a study.
