CRN hires senior communications director

The Council for Responsible Nutrition is coming into the new year with a new member of its communications staff. The organization in December added Kendall Riley as its senior director of communications. Reporting to senior vice president of communications Brian Wommack, Ridley has been charged with leading the association’s strategic communications efforts, building partnerships and developing CRNs’ consumer education and advocacy campaigns.

“Kendall brings extensive integrated communications strategies experience to our association,” said Steve Mister, president and CEO of CRN. “With her comes an innovative and fresh approach to CRN’s communications efforts. We are thrilled to have her on board to support and enrich CRN’s top initiatives and to help serve and protect the reputation of our industry.”

Ridley most recently was CoStar Group’s senior manager of external communication, leading the company’s reputation management efforts and securing tier-one media coverage of its business units. She also built lead-generating communications campaigns and developed strategies and content for integrated marketing campaigns for CoStar and LoopNet.

Before CoStar Group, Ridley held various roles at Halpern Enterprises, including director of marketing and communications, between 2014 and 2017. She also has been the Association of American Medical Colleges’ director of marketing and a marketing communications consultant at the Association of Corporate Counsel.

“CRN is the recognized leader in the dietary supplement industry, and I’m elated to be joining the association,” Ridley said. “CRN’s track record of proactive leadership and willingness to challenge the status quo are what drew me to this opportunity. I’m honored to be part of such an outstanding team.”
