Cutter is introducing Poison Ivy Scrub, a product that helps remove irritating plant oils found in poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac to provide effective itch relief gently yet quickly.  The new scrub joins the existing line of innovative and effective Cutter poison ivy wipes and sprays.

"Unlike other solutions on the shelf in the United States, Cutter Poison Ivy Scrub is currently the only product clinically proven to remove the urushiol oil from skin," the company said. Urushiol oil is the plant oil secreted by poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac that’s responsible for the hallmark rash, itchy sensation and painful blisters. Simply massage the scrub onto recently exposed skin and rinse with cool water, repeating as needed, to minimize the risk of developing discomfort.

Designed to help cleanse the skin of irritating oils via natural exfoliating beads, the product contains such ingredients as vitamin E, and is dermatologist-tested and fragrance-free, the company said.

Cutter Poison Ivy Scrub will be available at Amazon, Walmart and H-E-B stores in Texas beginning in March.
