  • CVS Caremark's CIO steps down

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark has confirmed that Stuart McGuigan, SVP and CIO, will be leaving the company April 13.

    CVS Caremark has initiated a search for his replacement, according to a company spokesperson.

    McGuigan has served as SVP and CIO since December 2008. Before that, McGuigan was SVP and CIO of Liberty Mutual Group from September 2004 to December 2008, and was deputy CIO and SVP of Liberty Mutual from February 2004 to September 2004. From 2000 to February 2004, he was SVP information technology at Medco Health Solutions.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark announced on Friday that it has been named as one of the most reputable companies in America by Reputation Institute, in partnership with Forbes Media.

    The survey rankings are based on Reputation Institute's "2012 U.S. RepTrak Pulse," a study that measures the 150 largest U.S. public companies.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy officially announced on Wednesday the April schedule of Project Health (Proyecto Salud in Spanish), a wellness program delivering more than $21 million worth of free health screenings to multicultural communities throughout 2012.

    As part of National Minority Health Month, CVS/pharmacy will offer free health screenings at select stores in African-American and Latino communities in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
