Three Dollar General female leaders were recently named 2021 HERoes Women Role Models, which is supported by Yahoo Finance.
Those recognized include Kathy Reardon, executive vice president and chief people officer; Melanie Cook, vice president, assistant general counsel; and Mary Alice Kirby, senior director of inventory and accounting.
All three were recognized for their efforts in championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace, the Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based company said.
“We are grateful to HERoes by Yahoo Finance for recognizing three exceptional female leaders, who are each working to extend our mission of serving others,” said Todd Vasos, Dollar General’s CEO. “At DG, our mission includes everyone, and I would like to congratulate and applaud Kathy, Melanie and Mary Alice for their work to elevate and drive workplace inclusion.”
The list includes 100 women who represent a wide range of impactful and innovative work being done for inclusion across various countries, organizations and sectors, the company said.
“I’m thrilled to be celebrating this incredible group of women and advocate role models who are championing inclusion and inspiring the next generation of talent,” said Suki Sandhu OBE, founder and CEO of INvolve. “It’s vital that women across the globe can succeed, and these role models are essential in dismantling barriers to progression and creating opportunities for women to be successful while also being able to be at their authentic selves in the workplace.”
