Dubai Chocolate Bars are now sold in select Hy-Vee stores across the grocer’s eight-state region. The retailer is one of the few grocery retailers in the United States to offer this popular product that’s become a hit on social media.

The Dubai Chocolate Bar trend went viral a few months ago, after several food influencers raved about the new confection on social media platforms. From there, the Dubai Chocolate Bar became an instant sensation, with demand growing faster than supply.

The candy bar is inspired by knafeh, a Middle Eastern dessert made with kataifi, sweet attar syrup and layers of pistachio and cream. The inside of the chocolate bar is a mixture of crispy knafeh bits and pistachio cream. The bar's exterior stands out with its hand-splatter-painted design in vibrant yellow and green colors.

“Hy-Vee is thrilled to bring this trending item to our customers,” said Matt Beenblossom, president of Lomar, Hy-Vee's specialty foods subsidiary. “Thanks to our team, we are able to source and bring these types of popular products that our customers see all over social media right to our local Hy-Vee stores.”

The combination of the unique flavors and textures, coupled with the visual appeal of the chocolate bar, has led to the sweet treat’s popularity in the United States.
