NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- Johnson & Johnson is looking to strengthen its position in hair care by agreeing to acquire Vogue International, a privately held personal care products company, for approximately $3.3 billion in cash.
J&J said the acquisition will include the OGX collection of shampoos, conditioners, treatments, styling products, body care and bath products, the FX line of hair styling products, and the Proganix and Maui Moisture hair care lines.
With Thanksgiving days away, so are Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and CVS Pharmacy has shared the deals that will be available to its ExtraCare members this year. The Woonsocket, R.I.-based retailer said it will kick off a three-day Black Friday sales event on Thanksgiving Day to run through Nov. 25, and hold flash sales every day Nov. 26 through Dec. 2 from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for the week of Cyber Monday.
TORONTO — Augmented reality technology provider ModiFace has unveiled its latest effort — a web-based skin assessment platform for skin care brands. The patented technology allows users to upload a photo that it then analyzes for a virtual skin consultation, after which it suggests appropriate products for identified needs.

MINNEAPOLIS — Target has been selling Jessica Alba’s Honest Co. household, personal care and baby products for several years, but now the retailer’s beauty aisle will be is the site of Honest Beauty's is launching its beauty line through the retailer for its first mass-market retail launch. Alba made the announcement in a blog post for Target’s A Bullseye View blog.
