Gerber enters the frozen aisle with Freshful Start

Gerber is offering a new take on how to obtain a full serving of vegetables and whole grains with a brand new entry.

Freshful Start, the brand’s newest launch, is a line of frozen products that have been designed for toddlers 12 months and up.

“Families with busy schedules are looking for quick meal options for toddlers that provide the nutrition their growing bodies need. Parents can take comfort knowing Gerber Organic Freshful Start bowls and bites are nutritious mealtime options for toddlers,” Erin Quann, R.D., head of medical affairs at Gerber/Nestlé Nutrition said. “Developed by Gerber’s experts with toddler’s nutrition needs in mind, Freshful Start continues Gerber’s mission to provide key foods and nutrients that many young children fall short on, like calcium and iron. Nutritious mealtime options like these new bowls introduce young children to a variety of nutritious foods and beverages, helping establish healthy eating habits from the start.”

Products part of the Freshful Start line include:

• Organic Veggie and Grain Bowl — Tomato Basil, which contains whole grain pasta, tomatoes, yellow bell peppers, zucchini and kale;
• Organic Veggie and Grain Bowl — Mac and Cheese, which features carrot puree, sweet potato puree and broccoli;
• Organic Veggie and Grain Bowl — Southwest Style, which has tomatoes, green bell peppers, black beans and brown rice;
• Organic Veggie Bites — Yellow Carrot, Kale, Lentil and Quinoa, which contains yellow carrot, kale, lentils and quinoa; and
• Organic Veggie Bites — Broccoli, Lentils and Cheddar, which has broccoli, lentils and real cheddar cheese.
