Gerber intros children’s multivitamin gummies

Gerber is introducing two new gummy multivitamins designed to help support healthy growth and development in children.

Backed by the Nestlé Feeding Infants and Toddlers Study, or FITS, the Gerber Gummy Multivitamins contain essential nutrients at appropriate levels to help children get what they need, the Arlington, Va.-based company said.

The Lil’ Brainies Multivitamins are formulated with an Omega Tri-Blend derived from chia seed oil, plant-based DHA and choline.

On the other hand, the Grow Mighty Complete Multivitamins contain nutrients for immune, bone and eye health, as well as brain development.

“FITS research shows that many toddlers are falling short on foods and nutrients needed for growth and development, such as vegetables, dairy and healthy fats,” Erin Quann, registered dietitian and head of medical affairs at Gerber/Nestlé Nutrition, said. “Gerber Gummy Multivitamins were developed by food scientists and registered dietitians and based on nearly 20 years of dietary research among young children, to help fill common nutritional gaps. Created with the right amounts of vitamins D, E and choline — critical vitamins that many children lack — our gummy multivitamins can help round out little ones' diets to ensure they get off to the right start.”

Both multivitamins contain no GMO’s, are gluten-free, do not contain artificial colors, and are free of peanuts, dairy and gelatin, the company said.

Parents can find the Grow Mighty and Lil’ Brainies online at Amazon.com and at stores throughout the summer.
