H-E-B is continuing its momentum of providing a comprehensive health solution to support Texans who are working to live healthier lives, with the debut of H-E-B Wellness in Austin, Texas.

Already operating in Houston and San Antonio, H-E-B Wellness Primary Care offers full service primary care for all individuals ages 12 and up, operating in coordination with registered dietitians with a food-first philosophy rooted in science. In addition to primary care, services will include physical therapy, health/nutrition coaching, clinical pharmacists, specialty referrals and labs to create a coordinated approach to health care under one roof.

These clinics are staffed by board-certified physicians, nurses and other licensed medical professionals. H-E-B plans on rapidly expanding throughout Texas with both primary care and nutrition services over the next few years.

The clinics provide high quality, patient-centered care with affordable individual visit pricing and the option of monthly subscriptions, removing the frustration of surprise medical billing and enabling clinicians to focus on each patient, taking the time that is necessary to support them on their wellness journey. The clinics accept cash, credit card and Flexible Spending Account payments, the company said.

“In everything we do, our goal at H-E-B is to take care of Texans with a servant heart and a best-in-class experience you can trust,” said Craig Boyan, president of H-E-B. “We believe that food plays an integral role in well-being, and as one of the largest sellers of food in the state of Texas, we’re committed to making it easy for Texans to live better and healthier.”

Whether consumers are navigating the healthcare system due to a chronic disease diagnosis or simply trying to keep their family healthy, managing health and well-being have become increasingly complicated. Despite the growing focus on health today, consumers struggle to navigate their health journeys on their own. It can feel like a huge burden financially and emotionally. Everyone is seeking unbiased, reliable information and simple solutions to meet their unique health-and-wellness needs, the company said.

H-E-B noted that H-E-B Wellness Primary Care board-certified doctors will spend the time to better understand their patients and help them stay healthy or manage chronic illnesses by working with registered dietitians with a holistic, food-first philosophy.  Dietitians provide personalized consultations and virtual and in-store walks, and friendly pharmacists are available to answer medication questions and have prescriptions filled when customers pick up their grocery order. H-E-B has provided these services to their partners and their families for many years and is now striving to be Texans’ one-stop health-and-wellness destination.

This new innovative platform provides products, services and digital solutions including:

  • Primary care, nutrition services and pharmacy services;
  • Wellness food products from brands like H-E-B Organics, H-E-B products made with Select Ingredients and H-E-B Naturals;
  • Foods that fit your lifestyle like gluten free, low carb and plant-based; and
  • Convenient meal planning solutions.
