Hi-Chew channels thirst-quenching sip of soda

New additions are coming to the Hi-Chew roster.

The Irvine, Calif.-based company has unveiled its new Soda Pop Mix offerings, which include the Ramune and Cola flavors.

Inspired by the thirst-quenching sip of soda, the Ramune flavor was inspired by the classic carbonated drink from Japan and features a tangy lemon-lime flavor.

On the other hand, the Cola flavor pays tribute to the traditional soda flavor popular in the United States, the company said.

“We are always looking to develop exciting new offerings within our growing Hi-Chew portfolio, and the introduction of Soda Pop, which celebrates global flavors from both the United States and Japan, was the perfect addition,” Tatsuya Takamiya, chief marketing officer of Morinaga America, said. “With detailed research and experimentation, our flavor innovation team worked meticulously to mimic the nostalgic, fan-favorite flavors found within the new Soda Pop Mix.”

Hi-Chew’s Soda Pop Mix is available in a 2.82-oz. peg bag that retails for $2.59.
