Justin’s expands into protein bar aisle

9/1/2020

Justin’s portfolio is growing.

Although the Boulder, Colo.-based company is known best for its nut butters and nut butter snacks, it is about to enter a whole new category with its new Almond Butter Protein Bars.

Available in three varieties — almond butter, honey almond butter and dark chocolate chip almond butter — the bars contain 10 g of plant-based protein.

“I’m excited to raise the bar on protein and share my latest take on plant-based snacking with our refrigerated Almond Butter Protein Bars,” Justin Gold, founder of Justin’s, said. “We’ve heard from our fans that they wanted us to make a plant-based protein bar, and we can't wait to hear about all the adventures they'll fuel with our new bars!”

The refrigerated protein bars, which are Non-GMO Project Verified and free of gluten, soy and dairy, are made with such ingredients as organic maple syrup and organic honey.

Consumers can find Justin’s Almond Butter Protein Bars at Whole Foods Market and Target in September.
