Lightlife’s Tempeh extends availability

11/17/2020

Lightlife is bringing its Tempeh to even more retail shelves.

The Chicago-based brand announced that its high-protein and naturally-fermented offering is now available at more than 3,500 Walmart locations across the nation.

“Lightlife Tempeh accounted for about 80% of total U.S. tempeh dollar sales so far this year,” Dan Curtin, president of Greenleaf Foods, said. “We are excited to grow our partnership with Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, and get tempeh into the hands of all consumers. This is only the beginning as we further grow the plant-based category with our variety of plant-based products.”

Made with cultured organic soybeans, water and organic brown rice, Lightlife’s Tempeh is available in original, buffalo, smoky bacon, three grain and flax options.

Containing between 12 g to 19 g of protein per serving, Lightlife’s Tempeh is non-GMO, organic and kosher certified, the company said.

Found in the product section at Walmart, the tempeh also is available at Meijer, Publix, Kroger and Whole Foods Market among other retailers.
