Luna Daily expands into the motherhood category, launches in Sephora

The company said the collection is the first-ever brand dedicated to motherhood to launch at Sephora.

Microbiome-balancing body care brand Luna Daily has expanded into a new category—motherhood.

The company said that its new Motherhood Collection caters to all ages and stages of womanhood and is the first-ever motherhood-focussed brand to launch at Sephora.

“I started Luna Daily with a mission to connect women of all ages and stages to each other and their entire bodies,” said founder Katy Cottam. “With 67% of women feeling a loss of identity as they become mothers, and 72% of women feeling totally invisible with motherhood, it’s clear that needs are not being served by the industry. With our new Motherhood range, we’re hoping not only to revolutionize the product category with our expert-developed, clinically tested products in under-serving categories, but to ensure that women truly feel seen during this life stage.”

The Motherhood Collection includes the following products.

The Nip + Lip Balm: This nip and lip balm is perfect for dry, cracked skin including nipples and lips. The lanolin-free gel formula is fast-absorbing, non-greasy and can be popped in the fridge for extra soothing. Clinically tested, flavor and scent free, with no need to remove before breastfeeding, the company said.
The Post-Birth Soothing Spray: This spritz provides relief from swelling, pain, bruising or inflammation. Infused with arnica, calendula, lactic acid and aloe vera to help soothe intimate skin, including perineum from post-birth discomfort.
The Perineal Prep Oil: This 100% natural, lightweight perineal massage oil helps the body prepare for birth by nourishing, protecting and softening perineal skin.
The Everywhere Motherhood Wash: This wash is as gentle as it is effective for all skin, even the most intimate, and safe for pregnancy, post-birth and while breastfeeding, the company said. It contains bisabolol, arnica and calendula.
The Hospital Bag Essentials Kit: An expert-developed kit to help women through labor and provide instant relief after birth, including The Nip + Lip Balm as well as mini versions of The Post-Birth Soothing Spray and The Everywhere Motherhood Wash.

Luna Daily said the collection was developed with the Luna Daily Medical Collective of dermatologists, gynecologists and a pelvic floor physiotherapist.

“As with all Luna Daily products, the new range is for all skin, even intimate–including bellies, boobs, butts, perineums, nipples and more, because they’re as important as all other body parts, even more so during this life stage,” Cottam said. “To help expecting and new mothers feel confident and comfortable in their skin, when things can feel like they are changing the most. ⁠To feel seen, when so many told us they didn’t.”
