McKesson kicks off registration for ideaShare
Registration is now open for McKesson ideaShare in Las Vegas from June 22–25.
McKesson ideaShare is hosted by McKesson, Health Mart and Health Mart Atlas. The event returns with double the clinical and business educational opportunities, new pharmacy technician-focused learning tracks and a 2% rebate on OneStop Generics purchases up to $6,000, with the chance to receive an extra month to earn their rebate.
“Strong pharmacies are vital to providing patients with the best possible healthcare outcomes and we are committed to helping equip pharmacies with the resources they need to thrive,” said Nimesh Jhaveri, interim president of community pharmacy and health at McKesson. “That’s why McKesson ideaShare2023 is poised to deliver the most comprehensive and engaging educational program yet. Featuring timely insights, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, interactive sessions and access to exhibitors with the latest technology, tools and products, attendees will discover new ways to help their pharmacies innovate and grow.”
McKesson ideaShare has doubled the number of continuing education opportunities available to help pharmacists keep up with the rapidly changing pharmacy field. With more than 12 CE courses featuring current, evidence-based education led by pharmacists and pharmacy owners, attendees can earn up to 10 CE credit hours, enhance their knowledge and learn tangible skills to support their pharmacies' success in today’s environment.

In addition to accredited CE sessions, attendees can learn strategies to improve patient care and maximize pharmacy performance through roundtable discussions, workshops and hands-on demonstrations.
Ahead of the Center of Medicaid and Medicare Services final rule changes anticipated to affect the 2024 plan year, Health Mart Atlas will host a special session to help pharmacies prepare to manage these changes, including the potential for cash flow implications.
As pharmacy technician roles expand, McKesson ideaShare is increasing its sessions and activities dedicated to pharmacy technicians. This year’s event will offer several new programs focused on pharmacy technician education, including:
- A pharmacy technician track featuring tailored educational sessions, roundtables, and a lunch and learn; and
- Courses to earn Basic Life Support certification.
Technicians also are invited to attend a special reception that celebrates their support of today’s pharmacies.

The highly anticipated OneStop Generics rebate is back at this year’s McKesson ideaShare. By simply registering and attending McKesson ideaShare, pharmacies can qualify to earn a 2% rebate on generic purchases up to $6,000, per pharmacy, with a limit of five stores. Plus, by registering before May 1, pharmacies can receive an extra month to earn their rebate. This exclusive benefit is extended on behalf of McKesson to support independent pharmacy success in local communities across the U.S.
On June 23, Jason Dorsey, behavioral researcher, speaker, and author will kick off the program with an interactive keynote leadership session. Dorsey will discuss the importance of understanding the different generations in the workplace, including millennials, Gen X and baby boomers, and how to unlock each generation’s potential.
McKesson ideaShare 2023 will conclude with a final night party headlined by Boyz II Men.
