  • Nexxus, Molly Sims partner to launch hair color collection

    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Actress and model Molly Sims has partnered with Unilever’s Nexxus to promote the launch of its new Assure color care collection.

    The collection features a Pre-Wash Primer, the brand’s first-ever pre-treatment, that shields hair against color fade before it's a problem.

  • Doritos snack gets fiery flavor

    PLANO, TX — Doritos, a brand from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, announced an addition to its Dinamita rolled tortilla chip line. The new Doritos Dinamita Fiery Habanero chips feature spicy habanero peppers and hints of chili and red peppers, all in a rolled tortilla chip.

    The new rolled tortilla chips are now available at retailers in select locations throughout the United States and come in three sizes: a 1.125-oz. bag for a SRP of $0.50, a 4-oz. bag for a SRP of $1.49, and a 9.25-oz. bag for a SRP of $2.99.

  • The Fergie CenterStage Collection by Wet n Wild expands

    LOS ANGELES — Wet n Wild and global beauty ambassador Fergie have unveiled the next evolution of the Fergie CenterStage Collection by Wet n Wild.

    Hitting Walgreens stores during February, the 23 additions to the existing line range from longwearing eyeliners, volume mascara, longwearing shimmer primer, all-in-one BB Creams, complexion perfecting mattifying powder and high-shine lip varnishes.

  • Bear Naked expands flavor offerings

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Bear Naked — a supplier of granola, trail mix and cookies — has introduced the new Honey Almond Protein flavor, which combines whole-grain oats, honey and roasted almonds and packs 10 g of protein per serving. 

  • Wahl introduces new grooming products

    STERLING, Ill. — Wahl recently introduced No-Rinse waterless shampoo and doggie deodorant. The products are designed to make pet bathing easy. No-Rinse was designed for in-between baths, but sales are strong in cold-weather seasons when consumers want to bath their pets but don’t want to take the hose out.

    The shampoo’s all-natural, foaming formula allows users to apply and towel dry to remove dirt and debris while providing a natural scent. Doggie deodorant also is an all-natural spray formula that can used directly on the dog or the furniture to remove odors.

  • Red Carpet Manicure makes foray into nail lacquer category

    HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.  — Red Carpet Manicure has announced that it is expanding beyond the at-home LED gel polish category to enter the nail lacquer segment.
 

  • Ginger Ale a favorite among flavored CSDs

    PLANO, Texas — Canada Dry Ginger Ale has long been a staple in the flavored soft drink category. The brand, invented by a pharmacist in 1904, has seen an uptick in sales that Dr Pepper Snapple Group attributes to “the perceived healthfulness of ginger ale as a CSD flavor.” Sales were up 20% in the drug store channel last year, according to Nielsen.

  • Sun Pharma approved for generic Temodar

    MUMBAI — Sun Pharmaceutical Industries announced that the Food and Drug Administration has granted final approval for its generic version of Temodar temozolomide capsules in 5-mg, 20-mg, 100-mg 140-mg, 180-mg and 250-mg form.
