SimplyProtein is loading up the tortilla chip aisle with protein.
New from the brand are its Restaurant-Style Tortilla Chips, made with corn, pea protein, sunflower oil and come in three flavors—sea salt, hint of lime and hint of habanero.
Each 1-oz. serving of 14 chips contains 7 g of protein, 140 calories, 7 to 8 g of fat and 11 to 12 g of carbohydrates, the company said.
“We believe we’ve cracked the code on indulgent-tasting, better-for-you tortilla chips,” notes Michael Lines, CEO of Wellness Natural Inc., parent company of SimplyProtein. “I’m really proud to have created a new protein-rich snack that tastes so great. With summer upon us, it’s time for folks to enjoy the savory side of SimplyProtein that’s perfect with their guacamole, salsa, in their nacho recipes, or however they choose.”
Currently, all flavors can be purchased online at Amazon and the SimplyProtein website. The hint of lime chips are available for purchase at Costco stores across the Northeast, Northwest and Southeast for an SRP of $8.99. In July, H-E-B will carry all three flavors.
