9/15/2009

REDMOND, Wash. A company that provides piped-in music and other media for retailers will provide its services for a regional retail pharmacy chain.

PlayNetwork announced Tuesday that Bartell Drugs had selected it to provide music and messaging services at its newest stores. The chain recently opened stores in Lynnwood, Wash., and Mill Creek, Wash., and will soon open a third in Issaquah, Wash.

“As a company dedicated to providing the best service and experience to our clientele, we are excited to work with the team at PlayNetwork to provide an even more personalized, engaging experience in each of our new stores,” Bartell Drugs assistant VP marketing Rebecca Siegmund said in a statement. “Their experience and customer service, combined with the flexibility of the Serenade Service, clearly reveals their investment in the evolution of in-store messaging.”

Bartell will use PlayNetwork’s Serenade Custom Service to access a large library of music by original artists, mixed with promotional and brand messages that can be edited, day-parted and updated to coincide with seasonal campaigns.
