BJ's Wholesale Club to close on Thanksgiving for 10th year in a row

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- BJ's Wholesale Club announced Monday that it will continue bucking the retail industry trend of keeping stores open on Thanksgiving so that customers and employees can enjoy the holiday with family and friends.


"We want our Team Members and Members to enjoy time with family and friends on Thanksgiving," said Chris Baldwin, president and CEO, BJ's Wholesale Club.  "Our clubs will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and we'll be ready on Black Friday to offer our Members outstanding value and the best deals on electronics, exclusive toys and more. And for our Members who want to shop on Thanksgiving Day, BJs.com will offer a great selection of Black Friday deals."


BJ's clubs will open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday with offers, exclusive in-club only deals and dozens of doorbusters. Clubs will begin operating on extended holiday hours beginning Monday, Nov. 28.


From Friday, Nov. 18 to Monday, Nov. 28, Members can shop the BJ's Black Friday Savings Event. These 11 days of savings will feature hundreds of offers both in-club and online plus exclusive in-club only deals. Members can pick up their Black Friday Savings Event handout in-club in early November to view all of the upcoming deals, including exclusive Black Friday doorbusters.


My BJ's Perks Program Members will have the opportunity to earn double on select purchases made in-club or online at BJs.com during the holiday season. The Double Perks promotion starts on Nov. 18, 2016, earning My BJ's Perks Members up to 10% back on purchases in select categories including televisions, jewelry & watches, toys and more.
