Bridget-ann Hart named KPH Healthcare Services president and CEO
GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. — KPH Healthcare Services, formerly Kinney Drugs, Inc., has announced that 
Bridget-ann Hart has been promoted to president and CEO.
KPH Healthcare Services is a provider of pharmacy and healthcare services with complementary businesses in both the retail and commercial segments of the industry.
In this expanded role, Hart will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of KPH Healthcare Services. Craig Painter, former CEO and chairman of the board, assumed the position of executive chairman of the board. Painter will remain actively engaged as chairman and will continue to be involved in the development of new business model strategies.

Hart, who most recently served as president of Kinney healthcare services, has been with the company for her entire career. She has held various senior leadership positions within the company in pharmacy and professional services, store operations, human resources, corporate development, and president and COO of Kinney Drugs stores.
As previously reported by Drug Store News, the regional player recently changed its named to KPH Healthcare Services to more accurately reflect the makeup of Kinney Drugs’ diverse range of pharmacy-related healthcare services.
Despite the name change, there has been no change in the ownership structure of the company, and the name change has not affected the identity of its divisions. Each division still uses its current logos and has maintained its brand distinction, including the well-known Kinney Drugs name and logo long associated with its drug stores.
The KPH Healthcare Services business model includes four divisions:
- Kinney Drugs, a chain of 100 drug stores located throughout New York and Vermont;
- Health Direct Institutional Pharmacy Services, which services long-term care and alternative care needs;
- ProAct Inc., a PBM company and mail-order pharmacy; and
- Noble Health Services, a specialty pharmacy that dispenses medications used to treat complex and
chronic diseases.
