Giant Food presents $100K donation to USO
LANDOVER, Md. — Giant Food on Tuesday released a photo delivering $100,000 to USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore. The Ahold USA grocer will make an additional contribution of 17,000 snack pack care packages for service members, the company announced.
In March, Giant hosted a giving campaign to support military families across the Mid-Atlantic region as part of its second annual Military Appreciation Month. Customers were given the opportunity to purchase healthy Snack Packs for service members or make monetary donations at check-out.
