Hy-Vee opens convenient care clinics in Iowa

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa Retailer Hy-Vee has teamed up with Iowa Health-Des Moines to open up two convenient care clinics.

The new Iowa Health Express Care clinics are located at the neighborhood Ankeny and West Des Moines (Mills Civic Parkway) Hy-Vee stores, near the pharmacy.

According to a local news report, the two clinic locations are replacing the previous Curaquick Clinics, which offered similar services. In 2007, Curaquick closed 11 clinics in Hy-Vee stores in Iowa. There were four clinics in the Des Moines area, four in Iowa City, two in Cedar Rapids and one in Dubuque.

Currently, Curaquick is partnered with Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City to operate clinics in two Hy-Vee locations in Sioux City, the report stated. Curaquick had previously worked with Iowa Health-Des Moines and the Iowa Clinic to provide in-store services.
