Matrixx Initiatives showcases latest Zicam launch at ECRM Cough/Cold

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Matrixx Initiatives unveiled its latest Zicam solution to come to market at this year's ECRM Cough/Cold, Analgesics & Allergy EPPS event. 

 

The company best known for its pre-cold solution will be bringing back its Zicam Cold Remedy Ultra Crystals brand with a berry lemonade flavor. 

 

"It's a very unique form for zinc," Ken DeBaene, SVP sales Zicam, told Drug Store News. "It doesn't require water, so it's very convenient and portable," he said. Berry lemonade represents a new flavor profile for the Zicam brand, DeBaene added. 

 

"We believe the product is going to be a winner," DeBaene added. Not only do consumers appreciate the on-the-go convenience associated with Ultra Crystals, but the delivery format and the new tasty flavor profile will resonate with consumers looking to shorten the duration and severity of their cold.
