Price Chopper to offer eco-friendly print cartridge refilling
BENNINGTON, Vt. Price Chopper is offering its customers a chance to refill their printer cartridges while they shop, due to a company agreement with iFill Inkjets to offer the service, according to reports.
The program, as of now, is operating at 26 Price Chopper stores, since it began in April. With the expansion of the program, Mark Tremont, owner of iFill Inkjets, says he is now able to reach communities he could never reach before. He pointed out the competition in the market, as Walgreens and Office Max both also offer refills to some inkjet cartridges.
Price Chopper is touting the program as a method of being more eco-friendly. The company also has a “bag-to-bag” program, which allows customers to purchase reusable bags. Reports also state that Price Chopper will be starting to develop a new energy-efficient headquarters in Schenectady, N.Y.
