Prilosec OTC sponsors Fourth of July fireworks for Fort Bragg, N.C.

7/2/2014

CINCINNATI — This Fourth of July, Prilosec OTC is paying tribute to the troops and thanking those who support this country by helping to bring back Fort Bragg’s Independence Day fireworks and celebration. Procter & Gamble and Prilosec OTC decided to partner with the most populated Army post in the United States to help the troops and Central North Carolinians celebrate.

Prilosec OTC will march into Fort Bragg for the third stop of the Zero Burn Summer Barbeque Event Tour, to bring back food, fun and fireworks for Fort Bragg military personnel, their families and the community of central North Carolina. The brand will offer Zero Burn Experiences like Zero Cost Barbeque, Zero Burn Games, and prizes to allow the troops and fellow Americans to eat, drink and celebrate the Fourth of July. In addition, Prilosec OTC will provide samples and education to frequent heartburn sufferers.

“This summer, Prilosec OTC is committed to helping Americans enjoy their favorite pastimes like grilling and games, during one of the most celebratory moments of the American summer – the Fourth of July,” stated Michelle Vaeth, North America personal health care communications, Procter & Gamble. “After we learned that Fort Bragg was not able to put on its annual Fourth of July celebration for the troops and the central North Carolina community last year, we jumped at the opportunity to make sure they were part of the fun this year. We are thrilled to show our appreciation and celebrate the holiday with some of the country’s most deserving citizens.”

The iconic Fort Bragg Fourth of July fireworks and celebration will take place at the Main Post Parade Field from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Zero Cost Barbeque will be available for all event attendees from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The concert with .38 Special and Josh Turner will start at 5:00 p.m., with fireworks beginning at 9:42 p.m.
