Orgain, a company known for its protein powders and nutrition shakes, is doing its part to help first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Irvine, Calif.-based company is donating 100,000 of its Clean Protein shakes to healthcare workers currently on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis via its Shakes For Heroes program.

“Our main goal is to express our gratitude towards the healthcare workers sacrificing their own health, time and energy to fight this virus,” Andrew Abraham, founder of Orgain, said. “We want to get the word out to as many people as possible so we can provide some essential healthy nutrition to these healthcare heroes to help sustain them through these demanding times.”

Hospitals on the receiving end of the company’s donations include Mount Sinai Hospital, New York-Presbyterian, Cleveland Clinic, Loyola University Medical Center, UCLA Medical, and Northwestern Medicine among others.

In addition, Orgain also launched a dedicated landing page where front line healthcare providers, friends and family can input the names and details of medical professionals or hospitals they would like to nominate to receive support, the company said.
