Abbott introduces antioxidant fruit bars

COLUMBUS, Ohio Abbott on Thursday announced the launch of its Fruitified ZonePerfect Nutrition Bars, an all-natural snack fortified with antioxidants.

The bars will be introduced in four flavors—apple cinnamon, blueberry, banana nut and orange cranberry. Each bar contains 100 percent of the recommended daily value of antioxidant vitamins C and E.

"Many of the top antioxidant-abundant foods—fresh fruits, berries, vegetables, cereals and legumes—are nutritionally beneficial, but not always convenient for on-the-go snacking," stated Rosemary Riley, nutrition scientist for Abbott Nutrition.
