CRN adds 11 companies to its ranks

The Council for Responsible Nutrition is growing its ranks. The dietary supplement/functional food trade group this week announced the addition of 11 companies to its membership, including eight voting members and three associate members.

New voting members include Cypress Ingredients, Inventia HealthCare, Kappa Bioscience, Kerry, Mito-Q, NuLiv Science USA, OMG! Nutrition and Vanteres. Cypress Ingredients develops, manufactures and markets a line of specialty fermentation products, with a flagship SelenoExcell High Selenium Yeast product, as well as the GTF Excell Chromium Yeast product and the Zinc Excell and Nutrafest nutritional yeast lines. Other new member Inventia is a 33-year-old company focused on novel drug delivery solutions.

Kappa Bioscience is based in Norway and produces the ingredient vitamin K2 MK-7 under the brand name K2Vital. Fellow added member Kerry has a nutrition and wellness portfolio that includes such ingredients as Ganeden BC30, a spore-forming probiotic, and baker’s yeast beta glucan Wellmune. MitoQ products Co-Q 10-based supplements and personal care products.

NuLiv Science USA, a subsidiary of NuLiv Holding, is a supplier of a full range of ingredients, a developer of nutraceuticals and a provider of turnkey service to the supplement and cosmeceutical industries. Also joining the ranks is OMG! Nutrition, which focuses on magnesium, offering a single-serve powder packet to make it easy to get needed magnesium that also is non-GMO, gluten-free and vegan. Vanteres is using its biomedical research capabilities to develop actively transported lysophospholipids, or ATLs, with a lead product called Active-DHA, which is being developed for nutritional and clinical applications.

CRN’s new associate members are BakerHostetler, RLA Collective and Yuyama. BakerHostetler is a law firm with more than 940 lawyers who can litigate cases, help navigate laws and regulations and assist with deals aimed at strategic growth. RLA Collective, a Ruder Finn company, is a marketing services firm that focuses on health, wellness and personal care brands. Yuyama manufactures robotics and automation that dispenses and packages oral solids for nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals.
