Global Healing Center’s Floratrex goes with the gut

Global Healing Center’s Floratrex is looking to help support gut health. The 25-strain probiotic and prebiotic supplement from the Houston-based supplement company contains 75 billion colony-forming units per serving.

Floratrex is vegan and designed to optimize and balance intestinal flora, stimulate nutrient absorption and B-vitamin synthesis, as well as aid in digestion and support immune system cells in the intestinal tract. Global Healing Center founder and CEO Edward Group said he developed Floratrex because he could not find a single solution for gut health, always having to use two or three products at once.

"This wasn't easy and it took years to create and source the perfect formula. One challenge was finding vegan-cultured probiotics,” Group said. “The other challenge was to find a probiotic company that would agree to use our nontoxic, non-GMO certified organic gum acacia, which in itself works as a prebiotic — a product innovation Global Healing Center was the first company to offer."

The company, founded by Group in 1998, remains family owned and operated. Its products focus on eliminating unnecessary ingredients, binders, fillers and toxic compounds.
