WAUKESHA, Wis. – Dave Wendland, VP strategic relations and member of the owners group at Hamacher Resource Group, will moderate the Chronic Care Roundtable on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Drug Store News Annual Industry Issues Summit. It will be Wendland’s 13th time moderating at the event, HRG stated.
“My goal with these discussions has always been to bring forward the subjects where retailers and manufacturers can collaborate to provide cost-effective, easily accessible solutions for the consumer," Wendland said. "With the rise in chronic conditions and recent surge in self-care, there are tremendous opportunities for both entities to redefine how they aide consumers in their quest for health and wellness.”
Wendland will be leading the panel discussion of six retailers and five manufacturers, including Walgreens, Health Mart, Rite Aid, Costco, H.E.B., Shopko, Becton Dickinson, Johnson & Johnson, Menasha, Vanish Point and MD Labs.
Topics for discussion include pharmacies’ role in the care of chronic condition patients, coordinating and connecting the touchpoints across the omni-channel platforms, how technology and consumerism will fuel personalized medicine and measuring and monitoring patient outcomes.
Attendees and DSN’s editors will be live-tweeting the entire event from the New York Athletic Club. To follow along with all the discussion about where the industry is headed, follow @DrugStoreNews and track the hashtag #DSNIndustryIssues.
