Nelsons expands Rescue heritage into supplement space


NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - For the first time in the brand’s long history, Nelsons is launching a new range of dietary supplements called Rescue Plus that contain clinically proven ingredients as well as the same five flowers remedies found in the original Rescue Remedy.

Significant global market research has shown that the new brand will attract new consumers to the category, Nelsons noted.

“Developing Rescue Plus has enabled us to take the Rescue brand to the next level, further strengthening our consumer offering and securing our category leadership," stated Emma Goessen, Group Rescue marketing manager. "There will always be a place for original Rescue on our desk but now substantial research has shown Rescue Plus will increase our consumer relevance and reach a broader audience by delivering new, stronger claims. It’s the next generation.”

The first three Rescue Plus products to launch include new formats, flavors and combinations, incuding:

  • Rescue Plus Lozenge combines vitamins B5 & B12. Every bar contains 10 individually wrapped lozenges, each with a soothing liquid center and a natural orange and elderflower flavor. Suggested retail price is $6.95.;

  • Rescue Plus Effervescent contains vitamins B5, B12, zinc and magnesium. Each tube has 15 natural mixed berry flavored effervescent tablets and retail for a suggested $14.95; and

  • Each Rescue Plus Sleep Gummy contains 2.5 mg of melatonin to help consumers fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and wake up refreshed. Each jar contains 60 vegan friendly, natural strawberry-flavored gummies. Suggested retail for a month's supply is $14.95.
