Pebbles Cereal rolls out birthday cake-inspired flavor

Pebbles Cereal is celebrating its 50th birthday with a very sweet new launch.

The Lakeville, Minn.-based company is rolling out its limited-edition Birthday Cake Pebbles cereal, which features blue, pink and yellow flakes, as well as a vanilla birthday cake flavor.

“When it comes to birthdays, there’s nothing more iconic than a colorful cake,” Amy Brothers, Pebbles Cereal brand manager at Post Consumer Brands, said. “Our new Birthday Cake Pebbles cereal is a fun and delicious twist on the traditional birthday cake and is just one more way we're celebrating with fans and keeping Pebbles 50th birthday party going this year. Plus, all Pebbles cereal varieties are gluten-free, so everyone can partake in the celebration.”

Available in 10-oz., 19-oz. and 40-oz. sizes while supplies last, each box of Birthday Cake Pebbles cereal will include a recipe for Dinosaur Egg Cake Pops and a Flintstones-inspired party game on the back, the company said.

The cereal begins rolling out to retailers nationwide in April
