Pebbles, Honeycomb cereals take on snackable form
Several classic kinds of cereal are taking on a new form.
Post Consumer Brands is unveiling its latest twist on breakfast — cereal snacks.
Delivering the same taste as its iconic cereals, these new snackable versions come in sizes and shapes that are ideal for dipping, dunking and packing, the Lakeville, Minn.-based company said.
Cereals that will be taking on these snackable sizes include Pebbles Crisps, which are about the same size as a potato chip and come in Fruity and Cocoa flavors; and Honeycomb Big Bites, which are twice are large as its original cereal counterpart and available in a classic and chocolate flavor.
“According to recent research from Mintel, nearly 40% of consumers say they eat cereal as a snack, and 13% report eating cereal on the go,” Tara LaFerla, brand manager of portfolio innovation at Post Consumer Brands said. “We developed our new Pebbles Crisps and Honeycomb Big Bites to make it even easier for people to enjoy their favorite cereals anywhere and any time of day. Our new cereal snacks have big flavor and big crunch in a 'no mess' form that parents and kids will love.”
Each launch, which comes in a 6-oz. resealable pouch, can be found in the cereal aisle at grocery stores nationwide.
