Peeps’ new launches embrace the Easter spirit

2/20/2020

Peeps is launching new confections and treats that expand beyond its candy offerings and into the breakfast cereal aisle.

“The Peeps Brand has become an icon in American pop culture, with its instantly recognizable colors, shapes and flavors holding a special place in the hearts of many for nearly seven decades. We take pride in seeing that parents who were given Peeps in their Easter baskets as kids are now passing those traditions on to their own family,” Caitlin Servian, brand manager for Peeps, said. “We strive to meet the perfect balance of history and innovation by continuing to offer our classic Peeps chicks and bunnies, while also bringing new and exciting products to our fans.”

For the second year in a row, the Bethlehem, Pa.-based company is partnering with Kellogg’s and International Delight on a marshmallow-flavored cereal and coffee creamer that will hit store shelves in spring, as well as a Peeps flavored creamer single at convenience store coffee stations.

In addition, Peeps’ marshmallow products are debuting a new look for Easter, which features bright and colorful packaging that has been updated to include tiny chick and bunny shapes in its design, the company said.

New Peeps marshmallow flavors include chocolate pudding flavored marshmallow bunnies and root beer float flavored marshmallow chicks.

Exclusive Peeps products for select retailers include Froot Loops flavored pop at Target and Walmart; Hot Tamales fierce cinnamon flavored marshmallow chicks at Kroger; Delights raspberry flavored marshmallow chicks dipped in crème flavored fudge at Target; and individually wrapped marshmallow chicks at Walmart.
