PepsiCo’s family of brands is expanding.
The Purchase, N.Y.-based company announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire BFY Brands, the parent of PopCorners.
Upon closing, BFY Brands will report to PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America division, the company said.
"BFY Brands offers distinctive products that deliver the great taste and ingredients consumers are looking for," Steven Williams, CEO of PepsiCo Foods North America said. "Their production capabilities will support the growth of our existing, more-nutritious snack brands."
PopCorners’ offerings include Flex Protein Crisps and Flourish Veggie Crisps, which can be found at grocery stores nationwide.
