Boston may become second city to ban drug store tobacco sales

BOSTON A month after San Francisco’s board of supervisors voted to ban tobacco sales in the city’s retail pharmacies, Boston may soon become the second major city to pass a similar ban.

The ban, which went under consideration by health regulators Thursday, would curb tobacco sales in retail pharmacies and college campuses.

According to the Boston Globe, the restrictions would give Boston the strongest antismoking laws in the country.
