Bush calls on citizens to continue fight against ovarian cancer
CRAWFORD, Texas Pres. George Bush declared September National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month from his ranch Wednesday.
“I call upon government officials, businesses, communities, healthcare professionals, educators, volunteers and the people of the United States to continue our nation’s strong commitment to preventing and treating ovarian cancer,” Bush said.
Thousands of cases of ovarian cancer are diagnosed each year, often when the disease has reached an advanced stage.
