Cub Foods opens doors of second store in Eagan, Minn., area

STILLWATER, Minn. Cub Foods has announced the grand opening of its second store in the Eagan area.

The Eagan East store is about 42,000 square feet in size and was crafted to look like an upscale neighborhood market. The store features an expanded produce section, large frozen food freezer section, extended variety of organic foods, a bakery and pharmacy, Cub Foods said. The store will employ 110 people full- and part-time.

“My staff and I are proud to be part of the new Eagan Cub Foods and we are excited to serve our neighbors,” Scott Lichtenberg, Eagan East Cub Foods store director, said. “This store has a strong focus on the Fresh side of the business and our customers will notice many unique offerings. The store was designed and built to maintain the great Cub tradition of low prices and great values.”

Additionally, Cub Foods has stated its commitment to the local community and said it will donate 1,000 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank, which serves Eagan residents in need.
