FDA approves two generic versions of Leo Pharma's Dovonex

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. and FORT COLLINS, Colo. The Food and Drug Administration has approved both Hi-Tech Pharmacal's and Tolmar's generic versions of calcipotriene, the generic equivalent of Leo Pharma's Dovonex, in the .005% strength. The topical medication is used to treat such skin conditions as plaque psoriasis.

Other companies selling generic calcipotriene include Nycomed US, according to the FDA Web site.
