NCR Corp. introduces CVM mobility, for patients’ convenience


DAYTON, Ohio NCR Corp. has released a new product to make patients treatment concerns accessible through their mobile phone or other devices, according to published reports.

The product, CVM mobility, allows patients to opt-in to certain features like appointment reminders, pay bills and access lab results, which, according to published reports, will provide more order and productivity to healthcare organizations as well as providing a more convenient option to patients.

According to published reports, the CVM mobility would give the patient’s alerts as text messages via SMS, or voice messages to any other phone line the patient prefers.

The new device seems a favorable idea to patients based on the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions’ 2008 Survey of Healthcare Consumers, citing 60 percent of patients who want online access to medical records, appointments and their physicians.
