Teva launches its Gleevec generic

JERUSALEM — Teva on Friday announced that it had launched its generic of Gleevec (imatinib mesylate) tablets. 

 

Teva’s generic will be available in 100- and 400-mg dosage strengths. The drug had U.S. sales of about $2.42 billion for the 12 months ended May 2016, according to IMS Health.
