Total number of flu shots administered lower than previous years
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. Surveillance Data, Inc. on Monday reported that the number of flu vaccines delivered through physician’s offices is lower at this point in the 2008-2009 season than in the previous two seasons.
Data from SDI’s VaccineTrack to date for the 2008-2009 season also shows that the number of flu vaccines given in physician offices has not rebounded after Thanksgiving as it has the past two seasons, the company reported.
